Dental implant titanium core rod is the starting material for implant fixtures. Abutments. Healing caps. Screws.

The rod becomes the part that goes into someone's jaw. It needs to be clean. Strong. Biocompatible. Traceable to the melt.

 

Why two material options

 

Not every dental implant needs the same material.

  • Grade 23 ELI (Ti-6Al-4V). High strength. 860 MPa tensile. Used for implant fixtures that hold the crown. Load-bearing. Small diameter. Needs strength.
  • Grade 4 pure titanium. Lower strength. 550 MPa tensile. More ductile. Used for abutments, healing caps, and screws where strength is less critical. Softer on opposing teeth.

For dental implant titanium core rod, most buyers choose Grade 23 ELI for the fixture itself. Grade 4 for the rest.

Ground surface. Ra ≤ 0.4μm. For internal parts. Abutment screws. Transfer copings.

Q: Can I use Grade 23 ELI for everything?

A: Yes. Some manufacturers use Grade 23 ELI for all components. Stronger. But Grade 23 ELI is harder to machine. Shorter tool life. Higher cost per part.

Q: What certifications come with dental rod?
