Gr1 vs Gr2
Both are industrial pure titanium. The difference is in the oxygen content. That changes how they behave.
| Feature | Grade 1 (Gr1) | Grade 2 (Gr2) |
| Oxygen content | Lowest (purity) | Slightly higher than Gr1 |
| Tensile strength | Lower (240 ksi) | Higher |
| Yield strength | Lower (170 ksi) | Higher |
| Ductility / Elongation | Very high (24%) | High (still good) |
| Cold working | Excellent – deep drawing, complex bends | Good – light to medium forming |
| Forming difficulty | Easiest | Easy |
| Welding | Excellent | Excellent |
| Load capacity | Low to medium | Medium |
| Corrosion resistance | Excellent | Excellent (close to Gr1) |
| Most common use | Complex shapes, thin-wall parts | General industrial, higher stress |
Quick rule of thumb:
Need to bend it into a complicated shape? → Gr1
Need it to hold more weight? → Gr2

Chemical composition – Grade 1
Low oxygen, plain and simple. That's what makes it soft. You can bend it, shape it, do whatever you need – it won't crack. We also keep iron, carbon, and nitrogen low. Fewer hard spots. Fewer inclusions.
| Element | C | Fe | H | N | O | Ti |
| Content (%) | 0.1 | 0.2 | 0.015 | 0.03 | 0.18 | 99.5 |
Mechanical properties – Grade 1 sheets
| Grade | Tensile Strength (ksi) | Yield Strength (ksi) | Elongation (%) |
| Titanium Gr1 | 240 | 170 | 24 |
Why buy from us?
We've been in this business long enough to know that what's written on a datasheet doesn't always match what shows up at your loading dock.
So we run each batch of Titanium plate ASTM B265 industrial grade through actual dimension checks before it ships. We don't guess. We measure.
- No assembly gaps – thickness tolerance is actually ±0.05 mm
- No warping headaches – flatness is actually ≤2.0 mm/m
- No surface prep delays – Ra ≤0.4 μm, ready to go
- No waiting forever – we keep stock for urgent projects
Tell us your size, grade, and quantity. We'll send you a quote with a lead time you can actually rely on.

FAQ
Q: What's the thickness tolerance?
A: ±0.05 mm. That's our standard, not a best-case number.
Q: Can you cut plates to custom sizes?
A: No problem. We cut to your exact dimensions. Need circles, rings, strips, or blanks? We do those too.
Q: Do you have stock for urgent projects?
A: Yes. We keep a rolling stock of Titanium plate ASTM B265 industrial grade in the most common sizes. Ship in 7–10 days. In a rush? We can often do 3–5 days. Just ask.
Q: Which grade should I pick?
A: Gr1 for complex forming (deep drawing, tight bends). Gr2 for higher strength. Not sure? Tell us what you're making – we'll help you pick.
